Practice yoga in a state-of-the-art studio
Community Yoga has offered classes in east Pasco for over a decade. The studio recently relocated to the Saint Leo University Wellness Center on the campus of Saint Leo University in San Antonio. In this beautiful country setting, Community Yoga students practice in the air-conditioned Events Center. The Saint Leo University Wellness Center is a 59,500 square-foot facility focus on holistic health and well-being and integrates a student recreation, fitness, health services, counseling services, and a campus ministry. Outdoor amenities include an infinity-edged pool, resort-style seating, a fire pit, and a barbecue area–all with a beautiful view of Lake Jovita. Inside, a two-court basketball gym can be used for large scale events, providing seating for more than 300 for a plated dinner or 700 for a conference or lecture-style event.
The Wellness Center offers a variety of fitness classes, such as Community Yoga’s classes, in the Mind, Body, and Spirit Studio. There is also a Group X Studio and Cycling Studio. Healthy breakfasts, lunch, and snacks are served in Cafe 36, named in honor of the 36 acres once owned by the Benedictine Sisters of Florida where the Wellness Center now stands.
The Wellness Center’s surroundings complement JJ Caudle’s (Community Yoga founder and Chief Instructor) philosophy of “bring yourself to the present and bring yourself to yoga.” JJ grew up in Japan and Washington, DC. Her Japanese roots and background bring a unique eastern aesthetic to her teaching style. It brings her joy when students leave her classes feeling peaceful and refreshed, and the setting is the perfect conduit for that inner peace and restoration.
